Benefit Ball

Children’s Miracle Network is dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for 170 children’s hospitals. Phi Delta Epsilon Chapters each raise AT LEAST $1000 for their local children’s hospital and complete two service projects at the hospital each year. For more information on how you can help your local CMN hospital, visit www.cmn.org

In our efforts to support our CMN hospital, the UC Davis Children’s Hospital at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, we throw an annual Benefit Ball.  At our event, we host guest speakers ranging from doctors to professors, and performances from campus organizations such as MK Modern, The Afterglow and more. At our 5th annual Benefit Ball last year, our chapter raised over $5,000 to donate to our local CMN hospital.

Pre-Medical Youth Conference

PMYC is a FREE event hosted by Phi Delta Epsilon, an international, medical, and professional fraternity at UC Davis.

The mission of the Pre-Medical Youth Conference is to serve high school students who are aspiring to become physicians of the future. By attending the conference, we hope to further motivation and inspire high school students to continue their pursuit in a career in medicine. As undergraduate students at UC Davis, we want to share and pass on our personal experiences of being a pre-medical student. Along with the undergraduate pre-medical student staff, participants will also hear from and be able to interact with a highly reputable physician and other healthcare professionals.

Students have heard from the renowned physician Dr. Darin Latimore, Director of Student Diversity and Admission's Board Member at UC Davis School of Medicine, and Dr. John T. Armstrong, an OB/GYN specialist and AMSA speaker have previously spoken. Next years conference is going to be packed filled with newly created workshops and agenda.

We are accepting applications for the conference now; click HERE for the application! Due on April 14th, 2023 at 11:59PM (PST). Due to the high number of applicants and limited number of seats, please put careful consideration into your application.

Anatomy Fashion Show

This year our chapter hosted its own Anatomy Fashion Show inspired by other brothers at other chapters! In order to raise awareness and money for Children’s Miracle Network, we created a campus and community collaborated event.

Our main attraction included a runway filled with our very own models sporting hand painted body suits that simulated the human body. In addition to our own actives modeling, we collaborated with other organizations such as the Student Fashion Association, American Red Cross and the Filipino Association for Health Careers who put forth their own unique creations!

We also had amazing performances from Unbound Progression, MK Modern, Bakuhatsu Taiko Dan, The Afterglow and Liquid Hotplates.

With FREE admission, raffling prizes and donations from our guests, we raised over $1,000!

Next year’s fashion show is planned to be bigger and better! Check back for more information.
